Parent Teacher Association (meetings)

Armatage has a strong Parent-Teacher Association which provides support throughout the school. The PTA holds meetings most months of the school year in the Media Center. Come hear from Principal Franks each month, discuss current issues and fundraising. Generally the third Thursday of the month but see online calendar as some dates can vary. Meet at 6:30 pm in the school media center.

Student of the Month Celebrations

Students from each grade are recognized at a ceremony in the Armatage theatre. Teachers nominate children in advance. Third Friday of each month, mornings.

Tears & Cheers

A welcome event for new kindergartner's families. See off your new kindergartner, then stop by to meet other parents and PTA leaders, have some coffee and learn about volunteer opportunities at our school First day of kindergarten

Curriculum Night

The Fall Curriculum Night provides an opportunity for teachers to share with parents and guardians information regarding classroom rules, the scope and sequence of the curriculum and any other information they feel is important about the upcoming year. (Note that children are not part of the evening.) Mid September

Family Fun Walk

This is our annual fundraiser event held in October. Students collect pledges and help raise money for field trips, classroom supplies, and school events. A Fun Walk breakfast Saturday morning followed by a walk with friends, family and staff make this a healthy and fun way to support our school. Typically a Saturday morning in mid-October.

School Pictures

Individual photos, purchase is optional. Photo retake options announced later in the fall. Midway through the fall; look for information in child’s folder or online.

Teacher Conferences

Meet individually with your child’s teacher to discuss progress and questions. Fall conferences are during the “MEA” break (mid-October) with additional options in the winter.

Plant Sale Fundraiser

Purchase plants for yourself or others as a school fundraiser Varies; may be in the spring or around the December holidays

Family Reading NIght

This is an annual family event each February to celebrate reading. Storytellers throughout the school share stories and the evening also includes treats, art projects, and a book fair. All family members welcome! Usually February, evening

Book Fair

Each student will visit the fair with their class and may spend whatever amount you choose to send in. Students will receive $3 from the PTO to make sure every child gets a book. December or February

Fundraising for Foster Event

Adults-only event involving food, drink, music, games, and an auction. In addition to being an enjoyable evening out, Fundraising for Foster (formerly Maude) is a critical direct-to-school fundraiser. Usually March

Science Fair

All students PreK through 5th grade are encouraged to create a project for the fair. Fourth and fifth grade students complete individual projects for the fair as part of their classroom curriculum. April

Gallery A: Student Art Showcase

Spend the evening looking at amazing student artwork. This is also a fundraiser to support our arts program; dozens of great items have been donated by local artisans - family and friends in the Armatage community. Typically in May

Spring Music Program

Each year, our entire student body performs in a Spring Music Program in the lower gymnasium led by music teacher Ms. Anita. Mid May

Armatage Carnival

Families love to come for the games, prizes, food and fun! Friday evening in May

Track and Field Day

This much anticipated event takes place at the end of the school year and offers all students the chance to perform fitness activities in a challenging, yet non-competitive environment. Events are held on the fields adjacent to the school and park. Late May

Armatage Adventures

Parents plan a fun event for other Armatage families as a fundraiser. Anytime one gets planned; watch for communication

Fundraiser nights

Wendy’s Lowbrow Dine at local restaurants where a portion of the sales goes back to Armatage Occasionally; watch for communication!
