PTA Positions for 2020-2021

May PTA meeting announcement and invitation to consider leadership positions for the 2020-2021 school year! 


Armatage PTA officers met virtually for a brief April meeting to discuss plans and budget, and set a final meeting of the year for Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 pm - Virtual Zoom Meeting: Join Zoom Meeting ( Meeting ID: 840 321 536.


We reviewed state PTA bylaws which indicate that we may postpone officer elections, typically held each May, given the current online environment. Therefore, we anticipate formally electing 2020-2021 PTA officers early in the fall.

However, we still invite parents to reach out with interest in leadership positions this spring as a way to connect with us as we look to and prepare for next year! We would love to hear from you. Thanks so much to all the fantastic Armatage families who have helped make our school events and critical fundraising happen this year! We appreciate you and your commitment and enthusiasm, and we encourage everyone to think about how you would like to support our great school with your talents and time next year as well.

About the opportunities

Both current board members and other parents looking to get involved next year may be considered for Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All positions will be one year terms (except the shared Co-Treasurer roles which are two overlapping years), with a general commitment of two meetings per month plus online communication. Basic descriptions may be found within the PTA bylaws linked on the Armatage website. 

Additionally, many event committee positions will be available, and we encourage you to email us with your interest in these as well. Or, if you have ideas for a leadership opportunity or committee not currently represented, please contact us to discuss!
