Join Principal Franks at the PTA meeting Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CDD Q & A Session
Tuesday, January 7, 2020 8:30 PM

Dear Armatage Families,

Welcome back to what is close to being the second half of the school year. I hope
you had a wonderful winter vacation and enjoyed some extended time with your
children.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several articles posted in the
Southwest Journal and Star Tribune regarding the Comprehensive District Design.
Based on these articles, there have been many emails, texts and Face Book posts
regarding the impact on Armatage.

Yesterday afternoon, I had the opportunity to meet with Tammy Goetz, Seward
Principal; Eric Moore, Chief Operating Officer and Brian Zambreno, Associate
Superintendent. The purpose of our meeting was to discuss the impact of the
Comprehensive District Design and its impact on our Montessori Schools. As you
may know, in the study, Seward would remain a Montessori magnet and
Armatage would become a community school.

The discussion was extremely valuable and provided us with information
pertaining to the study, magnet programs and our individual schools.

This Thursday, the PTA meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. will be used for a Q & A
regarding the C.D.D. I will be happy to provide as much insight as I have as well as
put together a list of questions that you have for the district. Eric Moore
committed to getting answers to your questions in a short time frame.

On behalf of the PTA Executive Board and myself, I invite you to attend this PTA
meeting with a list of questions that you have regarding the impact of the CDD on
Armatage.

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Sincerely,

Joan S. Franks, Principal
