Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA is a parent-led volunteer organization.Our role is to support the needs of staff and students at Armatage Montessori School by focusing on three areas:

-Assisting teachers and staff through coordination of volunteers

-Assisting with school programs, events, services, and communications

-Raising funds to benefit and enhance a variety of programs and projects for our school

For the 2020-2021 school year, we hope that virtual meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month this year may allow more families to join us. 

Join the PTA! 

Make a contribution to our school with your PTA dues! This year, anyone may sign up as a PTA member on the MemberHub site. PTA  dues are $15 per year for a single and $25 for a dual/household membership! Official members are encouraged to participate in our meetings and events throughout the year, but are not obligated to do so. All Armatage families are welcome at all PTA events, regardless of membership. Membership allows full participation in PTA matters, most notably the opportunity to vote on budget and spending priorities.  Membership dues also help support operating costs for PTA events, and contribute to state and national PTA efforts to provide resources to schools.
 

All are welcome!  PTA board members work to share the meeting agendas in advance and post minutes the following week. Meeting agendas usually consists of a "state of the school" presentation from Principal Franks, discussion of upcoming and past schoolwide/PTA events and volunteer opportunities, review and approval of the PTA budget, and additional topics which may be proposed and discussed as new business. PTA meetings take place virtually the 2nd Thursday of each month. See meeting notices, agendas and online links here. All Armatage Families and staff are welcome to attend the online meetings to hear about fundraising events, volunteer opportunities and hear directly from Principal Franks and school leaders about the Armatage community.
