Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking additional members to join the Equity and Diversity Impact Assessment (EDIA) Committee. 

 Applications are open until 11:59pm on April 10th.

What is the EDIA? Who is the EDIA Committee and what do they do?

The EDIA is a reflective tool and guided process to evaluate policies, practices, and procedures that impact MPS students and families.  

The EDIA Committee is a voluntary advisory group that consists of parents/guardians of MPS students, community-based organization members, and MPS staff. The purpose of the EDIA Committee is to partner with MPS to support the district in identifying and examining inequities in MPS policies, practices, and procedures that significantly impact student learning and resource allocation. 


EDIA Committee Meeting Informational Sessions - March 11 and March 25th

We invite you to attend one of our informational sessions.

·         Sit in on a regular EDIA Committee meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 12pm-2pm at MIGIZI (3017 27th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55406). A light lunch will be provided. Note that the first hour will be devoted to usual EDIA Committee business and the second hour will be spent on the actual informational session. 

·         Wednesday, March 25th from 5:30m-7pm at the Davis Center (1250 West Broadway Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55411) in Room N5-083. Light refreshments will be provided.
