What led you to become a public school teacher?
My grandmother was a teacher in a one room schoolhouse. She taught me to love learning and to show patience and compassion to children of all ages.What is your training/where did you go to school?
I went to Augsburg University (College back in those days) for my BA, St Thomas for my MA and St Catherine’s for Montessori Certification.What is your favorite thing about classroom teaching?
Getting to know the learning styles of each student. Finding the best way to connect with the student and the families.What is your favorite thing about the Armatage community?
The amazing staff and families that work together to make Armatage an awesome place to learn.Where are you from?
I grew up in Minnetonka and went to Hopkins schools.What is your family like?
I have a two adult sons, Kyle 28 and Jack 25. They are pretty great! I have a dog named Roo and a cat named Surly.What subject(s) did you like when you were school age?
Reading all kinds of books and writing stories. I also love history.What is your favorite children's book?
That is a tough question! I love so many books!What interests do you have outside of teaching?
I love to travel and explore new place, I like to quilt, knit, read, play card and board games, spend time with my family, walk, enjoy nature and laugh.If you could give your kindergarten self advice about school, what would it be?
Make friends, be kind and have fun!What silver linings did you find during the pandemic?
