The Armatage School Library is a fun, inviting space for students to develop a love of reading. Each classroom visits the library once per week to check out books.
- The Armatage media center has over 10,000 books, with new books being added every year.
- We use a web-based catalog and circulation system called Destiny that allows students to search for books, videos, websites, and many other items in the library's collection any time, anywhere that they have internet access.
- Special features, displays and activities encourage student reading and exploration. For example, students are given handouts and shown how to use the Dewey Decimal System.
- A Spring 2022 fundraiser resulted in $2,500 in donations to refurbish and brighten the library, adding comfort and color with rugs, flexible seating, display areas and accessible book shelves.
- Parents have the opportunity to volunteer in the library, assisting with checking in/out books, shelving and helping students find books.
