Application for Educational Benefits
Monday, October 21, 2019 7:30 AM

We still have over 300 families who have not submitted an Application for Educational Benefits form (lunch form).  ALL families must complete this annually.  Forms may be obtained at the Armatage office or online (www.schoolcafe.com).  Please complete as soon as possible so valuable staff time is not spent making phone calls.  Parents may check a box if they believe their child does not qualify for free or reduced lunch.

These forms determine a school’s level of state (compensatory ed)  and federal (Title I) dollars that are allocated to support students with additional resources.

Questions?  Contact:  Julie Railsback, Armatage School Social Worker at 612-668-3185.

Armatage SEL Parent Connection: October 2019

October 2019: Caring for yourself and others

Dear Parents & Guardians, This month our social emotional learning theme is caring for yourself and others. We will be looking for ways that we can care for one another and take care of ourselves. As a family, what do you do to foster caring behaviors? Sometimes we take actions, but don’t name them. Think about having conversations about how you have helped someone or been a caretaker. If you notice this behavior in your child, point this out and encourage this type of behavior. We will be honoring students who go out of their way to care for others at Armatage at our next Student of the Month celebration! Thanks for all that you do to show your child what caring behavior looks, sounds and feels like!

Read our full article here, with suggestions for articles & resources about fostering caring behavior.

Update to Door #15-Transportation-Tardies
Friday, September 27, 2019 11:45 AM

This year we had to make some modifications to transportation practices at Armatage Montessori School. Below is clarification regarding how to convey information to ensure critical people are notified of changes.

#1. If your child needs to go to Door #15, please call the office the day of this request. Do not email the teachers or office with this request, as the email may not be seen.

#2. If your child attends Mpls. Kids or Rec Plus for example and needs to go home on a bus already assigned to them; please send a note to the classroom teacher.

#3. You do not need to call the office to notify of a pending tardy. Please send your student to the office and they will receive a pass to their classroom.

If you have, any questions regarding Transportation/Door #15/ or Tardies, please contact Mary MacRae, School Secretary at 612-668-3180. Read the full tardy and attendance policy here.
