The 2019-2020 School Year will begin:

Tuesday, September 3, 2019 for Grades 1-5 students

Thursday, September 5, 2019 for ECSE, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students

School Hours:  7:30 am - 2:00 pm

We are excited to welcome all families to the new school year. We are ready to provide a safe and nurturing environment to our students. Our main priority, as educators and schools staff, is the safety and social well-being of our students.

During the first week of school and throughout the year, teachers and school staff will be developing trusting relationship with their students and families. We will be alert and vigilant about our students’ attendance and overall engagement. MPS staff will practice cultural humility and focus on learning from students and families about their interests and immediate needs.

Please be assured that MPS and our school does not collect or keep citizenship and immigration status information or enforce immigration laws, so we cannot and will not provide information to any government agencies. The U.S. Supreme Court has established that public schools must be accessible to all children regardless of immigration status. We want and welcome all our students. Please contact the school principal if you have any questions.

Pick Up and Drop Off at Armatage Montessori:

56th street (Door 5, Main Entrance to the school)

No cars are permitted to enter the driveway between 7:05 – 7:40 a.m. / or until all buses have arrived.

There is no on street parking on 56th street

There is no drop off on 56th street as it creates a traffic jam.   In addition, it creates a situation in which children, buses and cars are in the same space.  We DO NOT want children running along side, in front of or between vehicles.

For the safety of everyone, families should use the park board parking lot to drop off students in the mornings.

Park Board Parking Lot (Door 15 entrance)

When exiting the park lot, please do not turn left. There have been a few fender benders and near misses as cars come around the bend when cars are turning left.

We really appreciate your help in making drop-off and pick-up a safe experience for our children.
