LEGO League
Armatage Montessori School participates in Minnesota's FIRST LEGO League (MN FLL), which is part of an international program that includes more than 200,000 kids in 63 countries. It is a team-based, hands-on program that provides challenging and exciting learning opportuniteis for young peple. MN FLL spurs innovation, develops teamwork, enhances communication skills, and promotes excitement in science and technology, engineering, and robotics. Last year, only the second year of Armatage's LEGO Robotics program, three Armatage teams made it the State Tournament. For more information, click HERE.
Kids on Broadway
Kids on Broadway is a parent-directed musical that stars 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Rehearsals are held twice a week after school in October and November. Performances take place in December for both the student body and the public at large. In past years our student stars performed scenes from Oliver, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Community Education Classes at Armatage
All Armatage students have the opportunity to take enrichment classes after school. Classes include sports, art, Lego Robotics for 4th and 5th graders, Junior Robotics for K-3, Spanish, computer classes, chess club, cooking classes, gardening club, electric cars, and Kids on Broadway. Classes are offered for a minimal fee. Bus transportation home is provided on some days.
