Principal Franks is thrilled to share with you that we have selected and hired the first of two folks to fill our 4/5 vacancies. Michelle Loomans, Armatage Associate Educator and parent, has graciously accepted our job offer. We are very excited to have her onboard as a classroom teacher and know that she will be a great addition to an already strong team and staff.

Specialist positions that opened for fall 2012, as a result of the retirements of art teacher Jo Wells and physical education teacher Renae Kirby, have been filled. Joining the Armatage teaching staff next fall will be art specialist Elizabeth Neuman and physical education specialist Mike Leach. Ms Neuman comes from Hall School, and Mr Leach from Sheridan.

Last week, dozens of Armatage fifth graders participated in the annual field trip to the Lake Country Land School. They returned on Friday just in time to attend the Carnival. Read a little about their experience, written by Mike DeGeorgeo (parent of Joey, grade 3)
