Armatage Montessori School is a public magnet in Southwest Minneapolis. The Montessori education method creates a nurturing, child-centered environment using materials that cultivate your child's natural desire to learn.  Our school serves Pre-Kindergarten, ECSE, and Kindergarten-5th grade students.  Our school day begins at 7:30 am and ends at 2:00 pm.

New Safety Procedure effective 1/7/2019

To ensure the safety of all students, we are amending our current procedures to ensure all children are dismissed to the appropriate people / or locations.  Any phone request to have a student go home via a different method than usual must come by 12:00 p.m. and be followed up with an email to the classroom teacher & the secretary at:  This will allow the office staff to double check the student’s emergency card for any exclusions.

Join us for our Armatage Family Inclusion Day, Friday, February 22nd, 7:30-9:00 am

We want to honor our family traditions and rich culture throughout our school community. Families will begin in the small gym with treats and beverages & an opportunity to learn about cultures from around the world. Classrooms are working on artwork based on family traditions and culture across our school. Please join us in celebrating student’s artwork and writing about their family traditions & culture! Science Fair Project Proposals Due Feb 22nd

It’s time to start getting ready for the Armatage Montessori Science Fair! All students in PreK – 3rd grade are encouraged to participate in this fun non judged fair. 4/5th grade students are required to participate in the science fair with their homeroom class. Registration forms will be going home this Wednesday February 6th and should be turned in by February 22nd, so let’s start thinking about science!
